Social Bowl & Picnic – 20 July 2024
Although the forecast was for thunderstorms throughout the afternoon, we did manage to get the social bowl in before the rain began. Just the last few games were affected. 2024 – Picnic
Saturday 20 July after the Social Bowl – 4pm onwards. A lovely opportunity to relax and socialise. After the Social we will repair to the field (or the Clubhouse in case of inclement weather). We will have some fun games available – nothing too strenuous! Please bring your own food and picnic equipment (chairs etc).…
ABOUT US
There is a beautiful bowling green outside the Sports & Social Club, just behind the Gladstone Village Hall in Burton.
The Club opened in 1989 and provides opportunities for both social and competitive bowling.
We currently have four teams:
Burton & Puddington (Chester League) – Mixed Team
Burton & Puddington Veterans (Ellesmere Port Bowling League) – Two Mixed Teams
Burton & Puddington Ladies (Ellesmere Port & District Ladies Bowling League)
The outdoor bowls season runs from April to September. In addition to League fixtures, there are weekend and weekday social bowls. The green is available to bowling club members at all other times.
During the winter months, Indoor Bowling is held in the Clubhouse.
