Although the forecast was for thunderstorms throughout the afternoon, we did manage to get the social bowl in before the rain began. Just the last few games were affected. The winners this week were Dee and Mark. Thanks to Pat and Kevin for hosting.
Our mid-summer social event this year was a picnic. The idea was to repair to the field after the social bowl, enjoy food, friendship, and play some outdoor games. Unfortunately, with the uncooperative weather, we had to go to Plan B. Warm and dry in the Clubhouse, our picnic was not quite what we planned but it all went off splendidly!
Thanks to everyone who help set up, to Pat for running the raffle, and to all who cleared up afterwards.
A special mention must go to Brian, Sandra and Len who ran the bar for us. It was remiss of me not to thank them yesterday afternoon. Please give them a virtual round of applause.
