Kath wins the Millennium Shield ‘Open’ Competition
Many congrats to Kath who won the Ellesmere Port & District Ladies Bowling League Millennium Shield ‘Open’ Competition. The competition was held at George Street on Tuesday 24 September.

Social Bowl – 21 September 2024
Well, we were incredibly lucky with the weather. It stayed dry and mostly sunny for the whole of the Social. The dark clouds which headed our way later in the afternoon broke into a thunderstorm as we were leaving! Thirty people turned out to bowl and there were some very high-scoring games. Margie & Bob…
ABOUT US
There is a beautiful bowling green outside the Sports & Social Club, just behind the Gladstone Village Hall in Burton.
The Club opened in 1989 and provides opportunities for both social and competitive bowling.
We currently have four teams:
Burton & Puddington (Chester League) – Mixed Team
Burton & Puddington Veterans (Ellesmere Port Bowling League) – Two Mixed Teams
Burton & Puddington Ladies (Ellesmere Port & District Ladies Bowling League)
The outdoor bowls season runs from April to September. In addition to League fixtures, there are weekend and weekday social bowls. The green is available to bowling club members at all other times.
During the winter months, Indoor Bowling is held in the Clubhouse.
